MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield Columbus Catholic softball dropped a pair of Cloverbelt Conference East Division games on Monday at the Marshfield Fairgrounds.
The Dons lost to first-place Gilman 19-4 and Neillsville/Granton 6-1 in a pair of make-up games.
Gilman won the first game via the 15-run rule after four innings.
The Pirates (15-2, 10-2 Cloverbelt East) scored twice in the first inning, nine times in the second and finished off the win with an eight-run fourth.
Columbus committed seven errors in the loss.
Brooke Neider drove in two runs, and Annie Baierl had a double and scored a run for the Dons.
Columbus pitcher Addison Baierl limited Neillsville/Granton to four hits in a complete-game effort, but the Dons couldn’t muster enough offense.
