MARSHFIELD, WI (OnFocus) – On Tuesday, the Commission of Roundabouts and Land Traffic Control (CRLTC) announced they approved a plan to introduce a roundabout to the intersection of West Depot St. and North Central Ave.

The project would cost approximately $40 million and would impose an RLTC Tax of $200 per household per year, for the development of additional Roundabouts in the City of Marshfield.

The roundabout would allow exit access to Kwik Trip and Casa Amigos Restaurant as well as Central Ave. The access to the Kwik Trip parking lot would also allow for drive-through access for Glazer donuts and coffee at the 101 N Central Ave Kwik Trip location.

Marshfield resident Joe Schmoe said the roundabout would make his morning commute much quicker. “Every morning, I have to stop to get some of those glizzies,” Schmoe said. “This roundabout will make it so I can fly through that drive-through line, grab a donut, and make my way to work. What an outstanding idea by the CRLTC.”

The plans will now move to the Marshfield Common Council at their April 5th meeting. For more information, Google April Fools’ Day and then check your calendar.
