Committee Approves New City Finance Director

MARSHFIELD, WI (OnFocus) – The City of Marshfield is one step closer to hiring a new Finance Director after Ron Aumann resigned from the position on Nov. 15, 2021.

Interviews were conducted for three individuals and Jennifer Selenske was unanimously selected as the top candidate by a team of Common Council members and department and division heads.

According to the Finance, Budget and Personnel Committee packet, Selenske has an extensive finance and accounting background having worked as a Staff Accountant for Crop Production Services and as a Senior Accountant for Kemin Nutrisurance. She had also worked for Natrona County, WY as an Accountant, for the Town of Westfield, WI as Treasurer, as a Financial Analyst with Power Packer, and as an Auditor with McGaldrey and Pulling.

Selenske holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Minnesota, Carlson School of Management and has earned her CPA designation in the State of Wisconsin. She is planning to reinstate this designation and has been serving as the Acting Finance Director since Aumann’s departure in November of 2021.

Selenske has been offered the position contingent on the Common Council’s approval.
