Marshfield, WI (OnFocus) The Common Council will consider in a special meeting Monday whether the city will host this year’s July 4th fireworks display, according to the agenda.
The Council may decide whether to open the restrooms and grandstands for the fireworks, which are held annually at the Marshfield fairgrounds, according to Parks and Recreation Director Justin Casperson.
As of last week, Festival Foods was committed to bringing a fireworks show to Marshfield. An informal OnFocus poll showed 85 percent of readers were in support of the city holding a 4th of July fireworks celebration, with 760 votes cast overall.
The Common Council meeting can be watched live on the City of Marshfield Facebook page at 6 p.m. or immediately following the Board of Public Works meeting.
