BIRON, WI (OnFocus) – The Biron Fire Department confirmed that multiple departments responded to a fire at the Biron Paper Mill on Tuesday morning.
The fire occurred on the roof of the boiler house according to Biron Fire Chief David Kerkman. No one was injured and the fire was contained in about an hour.
Grand Rapids and Wisconsin Rapids Fire Department responded to the fire with the Biron Volunteer Fire Department. They also called in the Plover, Port Edwards and Rudolph Fire Departments for manpower.
