Cumberland (OnFocus) – The Spencer/Columbus Rockets ran into a buzz saw Friday evening, dropping their Level 1 Football Playoffs contest to Cumberland, 42-8.
Dominic Post led the Rockets with 55 yards rushing on 11 carries. Eden Jacobson had a 12 yard touchdown for S/C in the fourth quarter.
“Hats off to Cumberland. They are a very good team,” said Spencer/Columbus Head Coach Jason Gorst.
Cumberland’s Maddux Allen completed 12 of 16 passes for 285 yards, scoring on touchdown strikes of 65, 37, 28, 13, and 27 yards.
“I am proud of our guys this year. We are very fortunate to have had the opportunity to play,” added Gorst.
