CLARK COUNTY, WI (OnFocus) – On February 26th, 2022, EMS and Law Enforcement personnel were dispatched to a one vehicle crash near the address of W6210 Sladich Road, Township of Eaton, in Clark County.

Upon arrival, Law Enforcement Officers identified two individuals to be present at the scene. One of them being the decedent Donovan A. Cunningham M/W 06/07/1994. During life saving measures Donovan was found to be in possession of a $100 bill which deputies believed contained suspected drugs. An autopsy relieved Donovan had passed away due to a drug related overdose.

During the course of the investigation, the individual that supplied Donovan the drugs was identified to be Jacob D. Faude M/W 09/15/1991.

Jacob had met Donovan earlier that evening in a parking lot near the Village of Withee and delivered narcotics to him. Donovan provided Jacob with a ride to a friend’s house and prior to Jacob departing from the vehicle he had made a comment to Donovan in which he said, “That’s really really good, be very very careful, there’s plenty more where that came from.”

Donovan and his passenger departed from the residence and upon their departure used the narcotic which Faude had delivered to them. A short time later Donovan became unconscious and later passed away. Jacob was taken into custody on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 for the death of Donovan.

On Tuesday, December 19, 2023 Jacob sentenced in Branch II of the Clark County Court house where he entered a plea to delivering a Scheduled Narcotic and the 1st Degree Reckless Homicide Charge was read in. Jacob was sentenced to 6 years in initial confinement and 4 years extended supervision.
