The Playoff Picture is starting to take shape with teams starting to see if there is a path for them to the playoffs, today we look at the CWC-Large.

Qualified
Amherst (6-0, 4-0 CWC-L)
Stratford (6-0, 4-0 CWC-L)

Eligible
Wittenberg-Birnamwood (4-2, 3-1 CWC-L)
Remaining games: Colby, Marathon, @Amherst
Wittenberg-Birnamwood should clinch a playoff spot in the next two weeks with games against Colby and Marathon. Will want to do that before a tough game against Amherst in week 9.

Work to do
Colby (2-4, 2-2 CWC-L)
Remaining: @Wittneberg-Birnamwood, Spencer/Columbus, @Weyauwega-Fremont
Colby has had a tough schedule to start their season, losing to 4 ranked teams in the first six weeks. It doesn’t get any easier with 3rd place Wittenberg-Birnamwood up next. They need to win just one of their last three though to keep their long playoff streak alive, as their tiebreakers look pretty good.

Weyauwega-Fremont (3-3, 2-2 CWC-L)
Remaining: @Amherst, @Loyal/Greenwood Colby
Weyauwega-Fremont has almost the same path as Colby, tough game this week and then two winnable games in the final two weeks.

Marathon (2-4, 1-3 CWC-L)
Remaining: Stratford, @Wittenberg-Birnamwood, @Spencer/Columbus
Not a great path for the Red Raiders, they need two of their next three to even have a chance and head down to take on the two-time defending state champions in Stratford.

Spencer/Columbus (1-4, 0-4 CWC-L)
Remaining: Loyal/Greenwood, @Colby, Marathon
The Rockets face an uphill battle, but it isn’t impossible. They need to win out but have three games they should be competitive in. Step one is an elimination game against Loyal/Greenwood.

Loyal/Greenwood (1-5, 0-4 CWC-L)
Remaining: @Spencer/Columbus, Weyauwega-Fremont, Stratford
Loyal/Greenwood needs to win out as well, but their road is a little harder, with Stratford coming to town in Week 9. The first step is to take care of business on the road in Spencer.

Check back next Tuesday for an update on everyone’s playoff hopes.
