Mosinee vs. DCE Lost 71-77
The Mosinee Boys Basketball Team played a non conference game tonight against a solid DCE team. Mosinee and DCE would play a very physical game tonight and the game would go down to the last couple of minutes. It was dominated by defense in the first half with DCE leading 29-28 at half. Mosinee was led in the first half by Landen Thomer with 10 points, Keagen Jirschele with 9 points, Aidan Shaughnessy with 4 points, Cole Kowalski with 3 points, and Treve Stoffel with 2 points.
Out of half, both teams would battle back and forth and the lead would change a few times throughout the game. DCE would take the lead with about 3 minutes left for good and Mosinee would have to scramble to force some turnovers. The game would not end in Mosinee’s favor and they would lose 71-77.
Mosinee was led in scoring tonight by Keagen Jirschele with 24 points, 6 steals, and 2 assists while hitting one 3. Landen Thomer added 16 points, 7 rebounds, 3 steals, 2 assists, and 1 block while hitting one 3. Aidan Shaughnessy with 15 points, 3 rebounds, and 1 steal while hitting four 3’s tonight. Treve Stoffel contributed 11 points, 5 rebounds, 2 steals, 1 assist, and 1 block while hitting one 3. Cole Kowalski added 5 points, 1 rebound, and 1 assist while hitting one 3. Mosinee’s overall record is now 14-3 overall and 6-1 in conference. Mosinee will be at home this Friday for a conference game against Antigo.
