D.C. Everest downed Assumption 6-0 in nonconference girls soccer, 6-0.

“I think we learn more from a loss than a win and last night’s match will help us get better moving forward,” said Assumption Head Coach Jim Wendels. “The girls played tremendous against a physical and talented DCE squad.

Morgan Reichl(Assumption) and Makenna Kampmann(DCE) each had eight saves.

“We gave up four break away goals that hurt but we can fix that. The Royals had a fantastic offense last night and we kept pace with our shots on goal compared to DCE,” Wendels shared.

“We learned we can compete at a high level,  work on our individual goals and initiate a bit more contact vs. always being on the receiving end of the contact,” Wendels added.
