Madison(OnFocus) – The Wisconsin Department of Transportation’s Division of Motor Vehicles announced an extension for drivers over age 60 to be able to renew their licenses safely during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, without any late fee.

The extension has been set to January 21, 2021. The DMV shared in a press release that the department “recognizes the elevated health risk to drivers over age 60 during this pandemic.”

For drivers over 65, they are required to renew their license in person, but they can make the process easier and faster by making an appointment online and submitting forms electronically.
