Dollar General to Open at Former Family Video Location
Marshfield, WI (OnFocus) A new Dollar General in Marshfield is now under construction and slated for an early April 2020 opening at 707 N. Central Ave.
The store replaces Family Video, which closed in January. Marco’s Pizza next door closed in December.
Marshfield’s Dollar General will be approximately 7,000 square feet, 6,000 of which will be used for the sales floor, a store spokesperson said. It will employ 6-10 employees depending on the needs of the location.
Highland Ventures, Ltd., the company behind Family Video and the largest franchisee of Marco’s Pizza, was approached by Dollar General to lease the space. A similar move occurred last July when Dollar General opened in Wisconsin Rapids, replacing Family Video and Marco’s Pizza at that location.
Dollar General previously operated at Shopko Plaza in Marshfield from 2004 to 2007.
