MARSHFIELD, WI (OnFocus) – “Presents for Parents” is a program that works with kids to provide them an opportunity to holiday “shop” for their parents or guardians. Their mission is to foster a spirit of generosity among the children they serve by providing an opportunity for them to experience the reward and emotion of giving.
How it works: The group collects gift items (under a $10 value). Children in the Nutrition on Weekends Program are invited to shop. Then, on December 14 from 5-7:30pm, kids can “shop” (while supplies last) at a local Mortgage Center (103 S Central). Volunteers will be there to help wrap gifts.
Donations are needed by December 12 for the program and can be dropped off at any Weiler Convenience Store location.
