Rozar and Democrat Brian Giles will face off in the November election.

Giles issued a statement yesterday:

“I wanted to thank everyone who voted for the campaign yesterday. We had some outstanding numbers even as though there was no primary opponent. We even garnered the most votes of any candidate in Wood County,” said Giles. “I want to congratulate Candidate Rozar in your primary victory and invite her to join me in pledging a respectful, issue based campaign. We have enough differing opinions on the issues to focus on in the next couple of months. I believe in non-partisan fair maps which is why I signed the Fair Maps Pledge. No maps should be drawn to favor one political party over another. They should be drawn to give people a voice and not carve up a community. I also believe if you are going to err, it is better to err on the side of caution when it comes to the health and well-being of people. That is whether we are talking about wearing masks to protect others or their right to mail in voting. I look forward to a competitive race.”
