(OnFocus) One person received minor injuries after a traffic accident at the intersection of E 8th. Street and Veterans Parkway Monday morning.
At 7:21 a.m., a 59-year-old female driver was traveling eastbound on Veterans Parkway when a westbound pickup truck made a left turn on a green light in front of her vehicle, causing a collision. The 24-year-old truck driver stated she did not see the other vehicle when she attempted the turn.
The truck driver was issued a citation for failing to yield while make a left turn. The other driver’s airbag was deployed and the driver received a “possible injury” but was not transported, according to the crash report.
All lanes were open by 8 a.m.
