WORDEN, WI (OnFocus) – A driver was injured in a school bus crash at the intersection of Fernwall Avenue and Cloverdale Road on Monday, February 10.

The Clark County Sheriff’s Office responded to a 9-1-1 call at 4:09 p.m. Initial reports indicate that a school bus traveling west on Cloverdale Road failed to yield at the intersection and struck a southbound Jeep on the driver’s side.

The Jeep came to rest in the southwest ditch, and its driver sustained non-life-threatening injuries. The individual was transported to Mayo Hospital in Eau Claire.

The school bus, carrying eight students and a driver, continued west and stopped on Cloverdale Road. No one on the bus was injured, and another bus arrived to transport the students home.

Emergency crews from the Thorp Area Fire and Ambulance Service assisted at the scene. The Clark County Sheriff’s Office is continuing its investigation.

The names of those involved have not been released.
