OnFocus – OnFocus – Though already a local favorite, El Mezcal is continually adding new specials to its already popular menu. Earlier this year, El Mezcal launched a brand new menu featuring former favorites and new options. A few months ago, they added a customized drinks menu for guests. Now, they are expanding both with new Mexican and Tex-Mex dishes.
“We like to add new items for guests to enjoy,” said Andres Aguirre, manager at the Marshfield location. “Our recipes are based off traditional Mexican dishes and we like to introduce different options.”
New to the menu this month are the following:
TORTA
This is a Mexican sandwich filled with your choice of Carne Asada, Al Pastor, Carnitas or Chorizo, all together with beans, lettuce, tomato, avocado, sour cream and cheese. All served up in a toasted roll.
SHRIMP POBLANO
A chile relleno topped with delicious shrimp, red mild sauce and our famous cheese sauce. All served with rice and tortillas.
SOPES
A traditional Mexican dish originating in the central and southern parts of Mexico. It is an antojito, which at first sight looks like an unusually thick tortilla with vegetables and meat toppings.
“We are so thankful to everyone that continues to support our local restaurant,” said Aguirre. “It’s been a tough year for many local businesses and we are grateful we live in such a supportive community.”
