Appleton East’s Emily LaChapell has been selected as the top senior wing as part of the WSN Basketball Awards.
LaChapell, a 5-11 wing/guard, is a two-time WBCA all-state selection. She also earned honorable mention recognition as a sophomore.

She scored at least 30 points in four games this season, including a school-record 50 points in the Patriots’ victory against Appleton West on January 21.
The finalists for the award were LaChapell, Nakiyah Hurst of Milwaukee Academy of Science, Grace Lomen of Catholic Memorial, Sarah Newcomer of Pewaukee, and Mahra Wieman of Reedsburg.
