MARSHFIELD, WI (OnFocus) – Faith Fellowship Church of Marshfield will be hosting a “New Beginnings” Conference geared towards those whom may have had trouble in their past and those looking to improve other’s lives.
The conference will span two days, Friday, Oct. 1 at 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday, Oct. 2 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The cost of registration is $20 which includes a paid lunch on Saturday. Speaking at the event will be Dean Perry, an “agent of change” who has backgrounds in pastoral work, engineering and addictions counseling.
The conference is for those who have struggled with painful personal problems or self-destructive behaviors such as chemicals, sex, food, work, anxiety, relationships, etc.
It is also geared towards those in helping ministries and professions looking for effective tools to help family members and others and those who want to make both people and churches safe for hurting people.
According to the brochure for the event, the conference aims to help people “understand the mystery of the heart and what drives addictions and ‘why we do the things we don’t want to do.'”
You will also learn the use of Genesis tools for a life of personal growth and spiritual change, how to help others who are stuck in self-destructive behaviors and relationships, how to start and lead a “Change Group” for both personal growth and ministry.
The event is held at Faith Fellowship Church at 217 W. McMillan St., Marshfield WI 54449.
