Town of Eau Pleine (OnFocus) — A two-vehicle crash near the intersection of State Highway 153 and County Highway E in the Town of Eau Pleine has resulted in one fatality, according to the Marathon County Sheriff’s Office. The accident occurred at approximately 10:25 a.m. on Friday, September 27.
One of the drivers involved in the crash was pronounced deceased at the scene. The other driver was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The Marathon County Crash Reconstruction Team is actively investigating the incident. Authorities are urging motorists to exercise caution in the area, as traffic is being detoured to alternate routes.
Several agencies are assisting in the response, including the Wisconsin State Patrol, Spencer Police Department, Stratford Police Department, Stratford Fire/EMS, and the Marathon County Medical Examiner’s Office.
