TOWN OF SPENCER, WI (OnFocus) – The Marathon County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a two-vehicle crash that resulted in one fatality at approximately 7:51 a.m. on Monday, September 23, 2024, near the intersection of State Highway 13 and Merkel Road in the Town of Spencer.
The identity of the deceased is still being investigated. No other injuries have been reported.
The Marathon County Crash Reconstruction Team is investigating the incident. State Highway 13 remains closed between 26th Road and County Highway F. Traffic is being detoured to alternate routes.
The Wisconsin State Patrol, Spencer Police Department, Spencer Fire/EMS, Marshfield Fire/EMS, Marshfield Police Department, and the Marathon County Medical Examiner’s Office are among the agencies assisting.
