OnFocus – On Sunday, October 4 at approximately 7:38pm, Wood County Dispatch Center received a call involving a two-vehicle traffic crash at the location of County Highway G and Kimball Ave in the Town of Port Edwards.
Upon initial investigation, a pickup traveling westbound began turning southbound at the intersection, at which time there was a motorcycle traveling eastbound. Both vehicles collided at the intersection.
The motorcycle operator was pronounced dead at the scene. The crash is still under investigation at this time.
The Wood County Sheriff’s Department was assisted on-scene by Wisconsin State Patrol, Nekoosa Police Department, Wood County Sheriff’s Rescue, Wood County Coroner’s Office, Nekoosa Ambulance, Nekoosa Fire Department, and Port Edwards First Responders.
