MARSHFIELD, WI (OnFocus) – What’s better than a Philly Cheesesteak sandwich? These Loaded Philly Cheesesteak Onion Rings are sure to be your new favorite.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 (13.5 oz.) package frozen Alexia Crispy Onion Rings
  • ½ lb. shaved skillet steak, from our meat department
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • ½ large green bell pepper, diced
  • ¼ medium yellow onion, diced
  • 1 cup shredded provolone cheese

DIRECTIONS

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Arrange frozen onion rings in a single layer on a baking sheet. Bake for 7-8 minutes, turn and continue baking for 7-8 minutes, or to desired color and crispness.
  2. Meanwhile, heat large cast iron skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steak to the skillet and season with salt and pepper. Cook for 5-8 minutes, or until the steak is cooked through.
  3. Remove onion rings from oven. Top with veggies, steak and cheese. Place in the oven and broil on high until the cheese is melted and bubbling, about 1-2 minutes. Serve immediately.
