1 lb. ground beef/turkey blend
DIRECTIONS
- Boil an 8-quart stock pot of water and cook pasta according to package directions. Drain pasta and return to pot.
- While pasta is cooking, brown ground beef/turkey blend in a large pan over medium-high heat. Add salt, pepper and garlic and continue to cook for about 1 minute. Drain fat.
- Add crushed tomatoes and milk. Bring to a boil and simmer for about 5 minutes.
- Reduce heat to low. Fold in pasta and slowly add cheddar, stirring throughout. Simmer until cheddar is melted, about 1 minute.
- Garnish with parsley and additional cheese, if desired.
VARIATIONS
For gluten free: Use gluten free elbow macaroni in place of whole wheat elbow macaroni.
