Festival Foods Recipe: Chocolate Cream Cheese Football Dip

Add some sweetness to your game day spread with this simple dip!

INGREDIENTS

  • 10 oz. Philadelphia Original Cream Cheese, divided, softened
  • ½ cup + 1 ½ Tbsp. butter, divided, softened
  • 2 ½ cups powdered sugar, divided
  • 25 chocolate sandwich cookies, crumbled
  • Parchment or wax paper
  • ½ cup mini chocolate chips
  • ¼ tsp. vanilla extract
  • Assorted dippers for serving, see Chef’s Tips

DIRECTIONS

  1. In a medium bowl, beat together 8 oz. cream cheese and ½ cup butter with a handheld mixer. Add 2 cups powdered sugar and mix again to combine.
  2. Add crumbled cookies and stir with a wooden spoon. Refrigerate mixture for about 1 hour.
  3. Meanwhile, to make cream cheese icing, beat together 2 oz. cream cheese and 1 ½ Tbsp. butter in a small bowl. Add ½ cup powdered sugar and vanilla extract and mix again to combine. Refrigerate until ready to use.
  4. Remove cookie mixture from refrigerator and transfer to serving plate. Use parchment or wax paper to form into a football shape. Top with mini chocolate chips, spreading them out and loosely pressing into mixture.
  5. Place cream cheese icing in a piping or zip-top bag. Pipe football markings on top of dip and serve with desired dippers.

Serve with vanilla wafers, pretzels or fruit.
