OnFocus – In an effort to help feed the hungry this holiday season, Wheelers Family Auto Group has launched the “Fill the Truck, Feed the Need” program at each of their four locations. A Chevrolet truck will be parked at each Wheelers dealership in Marshfield, Wisconsin Rapids, Abbotsford, and Medford.
Throughout the holiday season, members of the community are invited to fill the truck with nonperishable food items, which will then be distributed to a local food pantry.
“We are excited to give back to the communities that we represent,” said Mary Jo Wheeler. “Christmas is about helping those in need and less fortunate. No one should go hungry this time of year.”
Wheelers Family Auto Group has a longstanding dedication to supporting local food pantries as a supporter of Rotary Winter Wonderland in Marshfield. Each year, the business sponsors the vehicle that pulls the Rotary float in each area holiday parade. The truck and float can be seen at the holiday parades in Marshfield, Stevens Point, Wausau and Wisconsin Rapids. Wheelers Family Auto Group is a member of Wisconsin Chevy Dealers in Central Wisconsin.
“It’s something my mom started. She believed in the Rotary Winter Wonderland program and the wonderful work they do for the community,” said Mary Jo Wheeler, co-owner. “We are continuing this tradition in her memory. She loved the lights, thought they were beautiful.”
“Fill the Truck, Feed the Need” will take place this year in Marshfield, Wisconsin Rapids, Abbotsford, and Medford, featuring a vehicle to be filled with non-perishable food item. Donated food goes to the local food pantry.
