MARSHFIELD, WI (OnFocus) – A late-night fire on December 13th rendered a trailer home uninhabitable in Marshfield.
Marshfield Fire & Rescue Department responded to reports of an active fire at 2215 S. Maple Ave, Lot 477, at approximately 11:00 p.m. Heavy brown smoke was visible from all sides of the residence upon arrival. Two vehicles were noted in the driveway, indicating occupancy.
Firefighters quickly entered the home and extinguished the fire. Fortunately, all three adults and two children residing in the trailer managed to evacuate safely. The family is staying with a neighbor for the time being.
While no injuries were reported, the home sustained significant fire and smoke damage, leaving it uninhabitable.
No special circumstances were noted, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
