Methodology: The study compiled a list of over 550 beaches in Florida, excluding locations categorized as lakes or those with overly vague names (e.g., “Dog Beach” or “Memorial Park”).

Each beach was individually searched on Instagram to gather hashtag data. For each beach, the total number of posts for the three most frequently used hashtags was collected and combined. Variations of hashtags were included, such as “#VeroBeach,” “#VeroBeachFL,” and “#VeroBeachFlorida,” depending on the terms associated with the beach’s name.

The total calculated hashtags represent the all-time number of hashtags used for each beach on Instagram.

Data correct as of February 2025.
