Season Series Three a Piece in the First Half

FOND DU LAC, Wis. – It was all Fond du Lac Saturday evening at Herr-Baker Field from the get-go.

Back to back three-run innings in the first and second set the pace of the game for the Dock Spiders (12-21) who had a total of 13 hits.

Wausau (19-14) scored one run in each the second, fifth and ninth innings but was nowhere near enough to win Saturday.

The loss now puts Wausau in a tie for first with Wisconsin Rapids, and will need help to win the first half.

Key Moments:

Brady Jurgella (Minnesota) went 3/4 with two RBIs.

Tyler Nichol (Northwestern State) pitched very well in relief, going 3.2 innings and retiring 10 of 12 batters faced – including four strikeouts.
