Appleton (OnFocus) – A battle of giants in high school football took place Friday evening, as #1 ranked Fond du Lac and #2 ranked Kimberly squared off in Week 7 of the alternate football season. When the dust settled, a memorable game saw the Cardinals outduel the Papermakers by a score of 71-48.
Fond du Lac quarterback Kyle Walljasper turned in a performance for the ages, rushing for five touchdowns and throwing for another. Walljasper collected 320 yards on the ground, on just 16 carries.
Cardinal running back Braelon Allen also had a monstrous night, rushing 12 times for 270 yards and scoring four touchdowns. Allen, a Badgers’ signee, has been mentioned as a possible linebacker for UW.
