MARSHFIELD, WI (OnFocus) – State Representative John Spiros (R-Marshfield) issued the following statement after former Assembly Majority Leader Scott Suder endorsed his re-election campaign to the 86th Assembly District, which he has proudly represented since 2012:

“I am proud to have earned Scott’s endorsement,” said Rep. Spiros. “Scott and I worked together closely in the Assembly to pass conservative policies that continue to make Wisconsin strong today.”

Suder, a decorated combat veteran who served 3 tours of duty during Operation Iraqi Freedom, represented Wisconsin’s 69th Assembly District from 1999 to 2013 and served as Majority Leader during his last term in office. He was instrumental in developing and passing major conservative reforms like Act 10 and Right to Work.

“John is a proven conservative leader with a strong track record of fighting for Central Wisconsin voters,” said Suder. “I was fortunate to serve alongside John and saw firsthand that voters can trust him to stand for individual liberties, fight radical left-wing policies, and work to make Central Wisconsin a great place to raise a family and retire.”

During his time in the Assembly, Rep. Spiros has been instrumental in bringing Wisconsin’s tax burden to an all-time low and ensuring that Wisconsin does not succumb to radical left-wing policies. Spiros is a U.S. Air Force Veteran and former law enforcement officer, experience that he brings to his position as Chairman of the Assembly Committee on Criminal Justice & Public Safety where he fights to bolster public safety and ward off woke polices that would destabilize Wisconsin.
