MOSINEE, WI (OnFocus) – Former President Donald Trump spoke to an enthusiastic crowd of thousands at Central Wisconsin Airport on Saturday, September 7. The atmosphere was upbeat and festive as people lined up to hear the former President and other local representatives speak.

Attendees came from across the state and beyond sporting MAGA (Make America Great Again) hats and other patriotic attire, waiting in line for hours to see the 45th president speak.

Prior to Trump’s arrival, speakers included Representative Tom Tiffany, Senator Ron Johnson, Senate candidate Eric Hovde, and representatives from Marathon County’s Republican Party. Country singer Gretchen Wilson performed the National Anthem after an invocation and Pledge of Allegiance.

Trump arrived at 1:00pm on Trump Force One, making a celebratory flyover over the crowds prior to landing and taking the stage to Lee Greenwood’s patriotic song “Proud to be an American” and chants of “USA! USA!”

With just 59 days left until the November 5 election, Trump addressed the swing state audience on important topics including immigration, taxes, freedom of speech, the economy, social security, and more from his Agenda 47 initiatives.

He expressed why he supports education and other rights being given to States and highlighted how he plans to address economic and terrorist challenges facing the nation, while incorporating his signature bluntness and humor.

The speech was interrupted briefly for a medical emergency in the crowd, during which Trump paused to allow emergency personnel to work. As audience members joined together in prayer for the patient in question, Trump thanked the doctors and joined in.

“We need more prayers in this nation, I can tell you right now,” he said.

During his speech, Trump called out the media area and reiterated the need to preserve freedom of speech and remove federal censorship on social media platforms.

“The fake news is a threat to this country,” he said. “They’re very dishonest and a lot of people don’t understand. When you’re a political like these people – like me, like others – and you happen to be a Republican or somewhat conservative, they write just the opposite of what the facts are. The story gets written the exact opposite of what it is you start to lose faith in the Press.”

Trump was recently joined in his campaign by Robert F Kennedy, Jr, a strong advocate for health reform. RFK’s influence was evident in this speech, as Trump addressed the importance of investigating processed foods and other health-related subjects.

“Bobby – RFK Jr – that was a meaningful endorsement, that was a great endorsement,” he said. “We’ll take on the corruption at the FDA, the CDC, World Health Organization, and
other institutions of public health that have dominated and really are dominated
by corporate power and dominated really by China.”

He ended his speech with a call to action, encouraging everyone to vote.

“On November 5th, we will save our economy, we will rescue our middle class, we will reclaim our sovereignty and restore our borders,” he said. “We will put America First and we will take back our country together, we will make America powerful again; we will make America wealthy again; we will make America healthy again; we will make America strong again; we will make America proud again; we will make America safe again; we will make America free again; and we will Make America Great Again. Thank you very much, Wisconsin. God bless you.”

Trump has been actively campaigning at rallies throughout the country, continuing to address crowds even after narrowly surviving an assassination attempt on July 13, 2024 in Butler, Pennsylvania.

His 1.5 hour speech in Mosinee marks his 4th official visit to Wisconsin and his 2nd campaign stop in the Dairy State this election.
