A Forum on Fair Maps will provide the public with information about the upcoming referendum for Wood County voters on the April 7 ballot.
The free event will be held at the Everett Roehl Marshfield Public Library, J.P. Adler Room, on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 from 7-8:30 p.m.
The presenters are Dr. Ed Miller, Professor Emeritus, UW-Stevens Point; Jake Hahn, Wood County District 8 Supervisor; and Ann E. Stevning-Roe, Marshfield attorney and plaintiff in the Whitford v. Gill redistricting litigation.
Voters in Wood County will vote on the following advisory referendum on April 7: “Should the Wisconsin Legislature create a nonpartisan procedure for the preparation of legislative and congressional district plans and maps?”
The next Wisconsin redistricting will occur in 2021 after the 2020 Census is completed.
