MARSHFIELD, WI (OnFocus) – This Thanksgiving, the Marshfield Community Thanksgiving Dinner will be giving families a free option to enjoy a Thanksgiving meal.
Dinner can be picked up at the American Legion Post 54 parking lot from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day.
Last year, the Marshfield Community Thanksgiving Dinner distributed meals via drive-thru. Participants drove up and selected what they wanted and were given the meal through the window of their car.
It worked so well and out of the interest of being safe, they decided to bring it back for this year as well.
In past years, the dinner has served anywhere from 200-500 meals either in-person or delivered to homes.
If you are interested in donating a food item for the dinner, you can contact Jan Altmann at 715-387-3333. You can also email the crew before Nov. 22 at [email protected]. If you need more than four meals, it is recommended that you contact them ahead of time.
