The Golf Coaches Association of Wisconsin is pleased to announce that the following student-athletes from Wisconsin Rapids have been recognized as 2024 Academic All-State honorees:

  • Ava Fetterer
  • Gabby Neilitz
  • Natalie Henslin
  • Alexa Cour
  • Brooke Strangfeld

Students are submitted by member coaches of the GCAW and must meet the following criteria to be considered for this great award:

  • The student-athlete must have a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher
  • The student-athlete must have participated in at least 75% of their team’s varsity competitions during the 2024 season
  • The student-athlete must be in good standing regarding athletic and school codes of conduct at their participating schools
  • The student-athlete must be either a sophomore, junior, or senior

Seniors – all of us at the GCAW wish you the best of luck as you prepare for your new challenges after high school.  We trust that golf has taught you valuable lessons that you will always be able to draw upon as you face future obstacles.

Underclassmen – we hope that you will continue pursuing golf, while at the same time maintaining the high academic standards that you have set for yourselves in the classroom.

The GCAW is proud to announce that 470 students from 122 different high schools have been honored this year.  The average GPA of these students is an exceptional 3.844.

The GCAW was formed by high school golf coaches in 1986 to help build and enhance Wisconsin’s reputation for developing quality junior players by promoting golf in our schools and communities.

If you have any questions or concerns about this year’s Academic All-State process, please reach out to me at [email protected]. I will be happy to help you in any way I can. Newspapers can reach out to receive a complete list of all those receiving this year’s recognition by contacting me as well – GPAs will not be included in that complete list.

Congratulations again to all the recipients of this year’s Academic All-State recognition. Have a great winter and keep dreaming of finding those fairways again next season!
