The Playoff Picture is starting to take shape with teams starting to see if there is a path for them to the playoffs, lets see where the teams of the Great Northern Conference stack up.

Qualified
Medford (5-1, 4-0 GNC)

Eligible
Mosinee (4-2, 3-1 GNC)
Remaining games: @Rhinelander, Antigo, Medford
Mosinee got back on the winning side with a win over the Hatchets. They need one more to lock up a playoff spot.

Work to do
Wausau East (3-3, 2-2 GNC)
Remaining: Merrill, @Lakeland, @Antigo
Wausau East took a tough loss to league-leading Medford this past week and had another tough game against fellow 2-2 Merrill on Saturday.

Merrill (4-2, 2-2 GNC)
@Wausau East, Tomahawk, @Rhinelander
A late touchdown got Merrill one step closer to a playoff spot. They need two of the next three to secure one.

Antigo (4-2, 2-2 GNC)
Remaining: @Lakeland, @Mosinee, Wausau East
Some Antigo fans will call it a good season, they kept the Bell, but have some work to do to get into the playoffs. The Red Robins will want a win this week in Minocqua with both Wausau East and Mosinee in the final two weeks.

Lakeland (3-3, 1-3 GNC)
Remaining: Antigo, Wausau East, @ Tomahawk
Lakeland is on a three-game losing streak and needs to get things going in the right direction this week against Antigo. Two of the final three to get playoff eligible is a tough, but not impossible, hill to climb.

Rhinelander (3-3, 1-3 GNC)
Remaining: Mosinee, @Medford, Merrill
The Hodags are in a tough spot, they need to win two of their last three to even have a shot at making the playoffs, but with both Medford and Mosinee on the schedule that looks tough. Although the Hodags have shown an ability to upset top teams.

Tomahawk (2-4, 1-3 GNC)
Remaining: Medford, @Merrill, Lakeland
Tomahawk needs to win two of their last three to have a shot, they have a tough game against Medford on Friday night. So unless they pull a major upset, they will need to win in Merrill and then at home to Lakeland to have a shot.

Check back next Monday for an update on everyone’s playoff hopes.
