OnFocus – Greenwood senior Weston Schmitz will be heading to JustAGame Fieldhouse in Wisconsin Dells this July for the WBCA All-Star Game.

The game recognizes outstanding senior basketball players and helps to raise money for five charitable foundations. Schmitz will be raising money for the Midwest Athletes against Childhood Cancer (MACC) Fund.

“It is an honor to be named a participant in the WBCA All-Star games as this event showcases seniors of each division who possess great talent and tremendous character,” Schmitz said in a press release.

The senior led Greenwood with 17.3 points per game and 8.7 rebounds per contest while helping the team to a first-round playoff win over Loyal. The Indians then faced Columbus Catholic where they lost to the Dons 53-36.

Schmitz will be playing in the Division 5 contest at 9 a.m. on Thursday, July 15. Other area All-Star Game participants will be Hunter Wright (Auburndale), Kyle Brewster (Edgar), Drew Guden (Edgar), Cade Faber (Abbotsford) and Peyton Kuhn (Medford).
