International Gymnastics Hall of Fame

The IGHOF Mission:

The mission of the International Gymnastics Hall of Fame is to preserve, promote and share the achievements of gymnastics’ greatest legends in order to educate and inspire children to achieve their own “personal best” in life.

The International Gymnastics Hall of Fame honors excellence – and its power to inspire, to unify and to elevate the hopes and dreams of an entire planet…
…one tiny Olympic hero, one charismatic World Champion, one visionary sportsman and sportswoman at a time!

Our distinguished Honorees are among the most recognized and revered citizens in their native countries, and beyond. Indeed, several are on a first-name basis with world itself: Nadia. Olga. Mary Lou.

And so the purpose of the International Gymnastics Hall of Fame is a lofty and important one – to preserve, promote and share the achievements of our sport’s greatest legends, so that future generations may continue to be inspired to achieve great things.

Governed by a board of directors made up entirely of volunteers with a wide variety of backgrounds in gymnastics, business, education and public service, the Hall is a continuously evolving organization. While plans for a permanent bricks-and-mortar home are under development, the International Gymnastics Hall of Fame actively advances its mission on several fronts, primarily through…

An online “virtual” Hall of Fame – a global platform of websites and social media networks;

A promotional exhibit located in the magnificent Science Museum Oklahoma, in Oklahoma City, USA, where it welcomes visitors from around the world

Year-round interactive events, competitions and personal appearances within the gymnastics community, attended by many Hall of Famers, chief among them Oklahoma residents Nadia Comaneci and Bart Conner;

And our cornerstone event, the annual Induction Ceremony.

Typically held in the late spring, high above Oklahoma City in the prestigious Petroleum Club, the IGHOF Induction Ceremony has become a red-letter date on the calendar of the global gymnastics community. Each year, aficionados, fans and supporters from across the nation and the world gather with community leaders and corporate donors to celebrate the newest class of Inductees…
…and to once again honor excellence.
