“The team played a structured game tonight. Our defensive zone coverage was the best it has been all year, and we were able to generate opportunities in transition,” shared Marshfield Heach Coach Eric Bowman.

Joey Cashmer and Noah Peterson scored for the Tigers.

“Cole Halvorsen made some key saves in every period. He made the first save, and the team in front of him did a great job minimizing rebound opportunities,” Bowman added.

Halvorsen collected 39 saves for Marshfield.

“Our penalty kill was great late in the game, which is good to see as that has been an area we struggled with this season. We look forward to another opportunity to play later this week,” explained Bowman.

Parks Guenther had 27 saves for Wausau West.
