Marshfield, WI (OnFocus) Hampton Inn & Suites officially broke ground on a new location at 400 W. Upham Street, the former site of the Knights of Columbus Hall.
Community leaders attended in subzero temperatures for the groundbreaking ceremony Wednesday morning. The 90-room hotel, to be finished at an undetermined time in 2020, will include a pool, meeting room, and amenities.
“It’s a new prototype,” said Luke Rykal, VP of Hoeft Builders. “We’re excited to do one of the newer Hilton-Hampton products in the area.”
Eau Claire-based Hoeft Builders is constructing the hotel for developer Dave Wogernese, who finalized the purchase of the property in June. Ledgestone Hospitality will undertake the management of the hotel.
