(OnFocus) A Marshfield haunted house created scares for a good cause this past Halloween.

Thanks to an estimated attendance of 8-900 people, the Schober family was able to purchase over $400 worth of supplies for Marshfield Area Pet Shelter with cash donations from the event and dropped off the supplies Friday.

The family has been putting together the haunted house free of admission for almost ten years at their home on W. 5th Street. Setup takes about a month, said Jennifer Schober, and this weekend they’ll take down the last of the setup.

On Halloween, her daughter Amanda performs skillful makeup for their volunteer crew of actors. The pet shelter was chosen again as the cause by Jennifer’s 13-year-old son, an animal lover.
