Car vs Dump Truck Accident in the Township of Richfield
Township of Richfield (OnFocus) On Monday, May 16th shortly before 6 PM the Wood County Sheriff’s Department responded to a car vs dump truck crash on County Highway N near Bethel Road in the Township of Richfield. At the time of the incident, the weather was partially cloud and sunny.
A vehicle traveling westbound on County Hwy N collided head-on with the dump that was traveling eastbound on County Highway N.
The operator of the car, a 32-year-old male from Marshfield, was transported to the Marshfield Medical Center for injuries sustained from the crash. At the time of the report, the individual is currently in critical but stable condition. The operator of the dump truck, a 65-year-old male from Wisconsin Rapids, sustained minor injuries and has been released from the hospital.
A portion of County Highway N was closed for approximately six hours but has since been re-opened.
This crash is currently under investigation by the Wood County Sheriff’s Department and the Wisconsin State Patrol.
