Ribbon Cutting Ceremony to Take Place Oct. 19
Now that construction is completed for improvements to Henry Demitz Park, a ribbon cutting ceremony will take place on Saturday, Oct. 19 at 11:30 a.m.
This milestone marks the end of phase 1 of the East Riverbank Project. Improvements include a new canoe/kayak launch, ADA-accessible accommodations, renewed fishing pier, recreational trail, and under-espressway walk, parking lot, outdoor fitness equipment, outdoor grills, and a new shade structure.
The celebration will include a park tour and demonstrations of the fitness equipment and canoe/kayak launch.
The project is one of many upgrades is the ongoing Riverfront Development project. Park benches and amenities can still be sponsored by calling the Wisconsin Rapids Parks Department at 715-421-8240.
