A pair of central Wisconsin girls took home titles at the WIAA Girls Wrestling Individual State Championships on Saturday. Each wrestler pinned their way to the title.
Alexandr Hofrichter of Antigo took first at 152 pounds, needing just 16, 25 and 42 seconds, respectively, to earn a berth in the finals. Hofrichter’s finals’ pin came in 4:17.
Upson earned three pins in taking the title at 235 pounds. She used pins at 1:08 and 17 seconds before taking the state title with a pin at the 1:20 mark.
