Election Inspectors Needed

Marshfield (OnFocus) – Absentee requests must be made in writing and must include a copy of the voter’s photo ID. Requests can be mailed to City Clerk, 207 W. 6th Street, emailed to [email protected] or completed on-line at https://myvote.wi.gov

By law, the last day the City Clerk’s office can mail absentee ballots for the August 11 Partisan Primary is Thursday, August 6.

“Please allow time for the ballot to be mailed to you and returned before the close of polls on Election Day,” said Jessica Schiferl, Deputy City Clerk.

Schiferl added that poll workers are always needed.

“We are always looking for election inspectors,” she said. “Qualified election inspectors must be a U.S. citizen, 18 years old, a resident of Wood or Marathon County; able to read, write, and understand the English Language, able to work the polls on elections day (polls are open 7:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m.). Training is required and is provide by the Clerk.”

She added a reminder that if a voter has changed addresses since they last registered to vote (even a different apartment number) they will need to re-register to vote. A voter may register in the Clerk’s Office, by mail or at https://myvote.wi.gov Proof of residence is required at the time of registering and questions can be directed to the City Clerk’s Office at 715-486-2023.
