The Marshfield Police Department will be selling custom-designed stickers and shirts to help raise funds for the department’s K9 program, to purchase necessary equipment and training items for both K9 Rika and K9 Steffi, as well as save money for the purchase of a new K9.

“K9’s are very expensive and it can be difficult to replace if one of the K9’s would have to be taken out of service early due to an unforeseen circumstance,” said Officer Sam Fox, K9 Rika’s handler. “We try to have that money readily available should that happen.”

Megan Bremer, a Technology and Engineering teacher at Marshfield High School, assisted with the design.

“She put together a few different designs that Chris [Hasz, K9 Steffi’s handler] and I were able to choose from,” said Fox. “Bremer said she enjoys teaching students how to make their own custom shirts, posters and decals in her Digital Publications class at MHS and was excited to team up with MPD on this project.”

Fox worked with Central Wisconsin custom apparel print shop Premier Printing to develop the stickers and t-shirts, an experience he describes as positive.

The shirts and stickers are available now at the Police Department. Youth sizes are $15, adult sizes are $20.

“As always, we appreciate the community’s support and appreciate the donations to the K9 program throughout the year,” said Fox.
