Winter Weather Advisory until 10:00AM Saturday
CENTRAL WISCONSIN, WI (OnFocus) – Residents in Taylor and Clark Counties are urged to prepare for potentially hazardous travel conditions as the National Weather Service issues a freezing rain advisory for late tonight.
Rain is forecasted to sweep across the region this evening, with temperatures dropping after midnight, leading to a transition to freezing rain. This poses a significant risk to travel safety, especially for those residing north of Interstate 94.
Taylor and northern Clark counties are expected to experience an 80-100% chance of icing through mid-morning on Saturday, with total ice accumulations up to 0.1 inch. Eastern Taylor County may see locally higher amounts, reaching up to 0.2 inch.
