Marshfield, WI (OnFocus) An initial court appearance has been scheduled Dec. 26 for three Marshfield High School students involved in a bomb threat incident this week.
An 18-year-old male and two 17-year-old males were arrested after a bomb threat was written on a bathroom stall on Dec. 17 which led to the early dismissal of the high school as a precaution.
The 18-year-old male was referred to the Wood County DA on a Class I felony charge of making terroristic threats, which is punishable by up to 3.5 years in prison, fines up to $10,000, or both. Additionally, two 17-year-old males were arrested for being party to the crime.
The case of two 17-year-old females who were arrested last week on felony charges of making terrorist threats is still under review, according to the DA’s office. On Dec. 9, bomb threats were discovered on girls’ bathroom stalls at the Marshfield High School, referencing the date 12-18-19.
Both students were given out-of-school suspension and face an expulsion hearing in January.
