The Iola-Scandinavia softball team beat Weyauwega-Fremont on Monday, 18-1 in four innings in a CWC-Eastern Division match up. The Thunderbirds improved their conference record to 1-1 and are 4-2 overall. The Warhawks dropped to 0-3 in conference and 1-5 overall.
Pitcher Rayanne Clendenning pitched all four innings to earn the win for the T-Birds. Clendenning allowed only three hits, no walks while striking out six batters.
Offensively, Iola-Scandinavia was led by Clendenning who had two hits and drove in two runs. Braelyn Jueds, Maddie Karolus and Maya Munoz each had a double. Karolus and Munoz also drove in a pair of runs.
