Jacksonville Jaguars Fan Base the Most Charitable Fan Base in NFL, Study Finds

Jacksonville Jaguars fans have been found to be the most charitable fanbase in the NFL, based on a survey conducted by Betano.

The survey asked 1,000 sports fans across North America about their charitable habits, considering how much they give to charity each year, whether they would hand in or keep $20 found on the floor, whether they keep their change or give as a tip or donate to charity and whether they regularly participate in charity events.

Whilst Jaguars fans were found to be the most charitable, Bills fans were found to be the least charitable.

Key findings:

  • A quarter (25%) of Jacksonville Jaguars fans give over $500 to charity each year

  • Nearly two-thirds (58%) of Jaguars fans would let their barista keep the change from a coffee purchase as a tip

  • Buffalo Bills fans were the least charitable with no respondents giving over $500 a year to charity or regularly taking part in charity events

When looking at the average amount donated to charity per year by each fanbase, Jaguars fans donated an average of $138.33 per year, whilst the Bills fans donated only $61.25 per year, on average.

The fanbases donating the most on average each year were:

  1. Tennessee Titans – $271.88

  2. Detroit Lions – $201.01

  3. Las Vegas Raiders – $174.98

  4. Houston Texans – $174.75

  5. Denver Broncos – $161.88

And the fanbases donating the least were:

  1. Arizona Cardinals – $33.33

  2. Atlanta Falcons – $53.75

  3. Buffalo Bills – $61.25

  4. Baltimore Ravens – $65.57

  5. New York Jets – $70.41
